Hi! I’m Nathan Smith

Hey there! I'm a Boston and Providence-based music photographer capturing the unfiltered magic of live music. Whether I'm photographing established artists at a sold out TD Garden show or documenting the journey of an emerging local band, m goal is to transport people directly into the heart of each performance through my lens.

I believe in authentic representation. Just artists doing what they do best, and me catching it at the right moment. My job is to make it feel like you're standing right there in the crowd.

My work has been featured in Charm Music Magazine, Juice Box Press, Rokkr Press and more, and I reguarly work with both major touring artists and local emerging acts. Whether it's shooting portraits backstage or capturing headlining moments, I bring quality photos, quick delivery, and a deep respect for the music.

When I’m not in the photo pit, you might find me playing violin with a local orchestra, watching Celtics games, or planning the next road trip for a music festival. I bring the same curiosity and care to every gig, whether you're playing for 5 or 5,000.

Currently shooting for Juice Box Press and Rokkr Press, and working with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
